One of my favourite historical documentary. However, It's amazing to observe the tremendous influence of The Medici Family. From a small Italian community in 15th century Florence, the Medici family would rise to rule Europe in many ways with generosity. Furthermore, this could be a great lesson to learn the simple principle of influence and persuasion.
"The great man who is a miser is a great fool, and a man in high places can have no vice so harmful as avarice. A miserly man can conquer neither lands nor lordships, for he does not have a plentiful supply of friends with whom he may work his will. Whoever wants to have friends must not love his possessions but must acquire friends by means of fair gifts; for in the same way that the lodestone subtly draws iron to itself, so the gold and silver that a man gives attract the hearts of men."
